Indigenous Awards

The Faculty of Graduate Studies encourages indigenous students to pursue graduate education by offering awards specifically for indigenous students.
External awards from outside agencies are also available; these are not administered through the University of Calgary.

Indigenous Graduate Award Competition (IGA)
The Indigenous Graduate Award (IGA) program was established by the Minister of Innovation and Advanced Education to encourage indigenous Albertans to pursue graduate studies in Alberta.
This competition is open to Canadian applicants, living in Alberta, who are Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Métis or Inuit.
