Open Doctoral Scholarships

Open Doctoral Scholarships support students registered full-time in a thesis-based PhD program in all fields of study.

Selection Criteria

Selection within the Open Doctoral Scholarship competition is based on academic merit and research potential.

Please note: Master's awards are no longer administered through the Open competition. Queen Elizabeth II scholarships, both at the doctoral and Master's levels, are now administered through the graduate programs subject to final approval of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Please consult your Graduate Program Administrator (GPA) for details.
